Japanese Gardens (日本庭園)

Years ago I fell in love with Japanese gardens because they are a symbol of the connection between nature and human creativity. They are often serene spaces aimed at creating a place to quietly reflect on life, the universe, and our connection to it.
I see Japanese garden photography as a unique genre of nature photography, closer to the Japanese term for 'nature' which is 'shizen.' With shizen, the Japanese include the human elements as a part of nature.
Therefore the stone pathways, lanterns, tea houses, pruned pine trees etc. that were all creatively designed to create an atmosphere and a moment are all part of what I consider my Shizen Photography.
